Was considered for one of the main roles in Josie and the Pussycats (2000).

Lopes doesn't show up for a press conference. She was then considered missing and the word goes out to the local radio stations and TV stations. No contact with other TLC members or manager. Not many were surprised due to her spontaneous behavior, but they were very worried. It's later announced she has contacted someone and said she will make an appearance in October at an award show. Died in car crash in Honduras April 25, 2002. She was the only fatality in a vehicle that had seven passengers.

Her last name 'Lopes' is Portuguese

Of Cape Verdean (Portuguese & African) Descent.

On how she got her nickname "Left Eye": "A guy gave me a pick up line and said he was attracted to my left eye". The "guy" is reported to be Michael Bivins of "New Edition" and "Bell Biv DeVoe" fame.

At the age of four, she could play the piano by ear.
